Yes, you can! The RECnGO live video studio runs on iOS and Android devices (tablets and mobile phones). It is a cross platform, so if you have a RECnGO account, you can create a live video studio with your iOS & Android devices. It depends on your preference, for instance an iOS device can be a Main device, and an Android device can be an extra camera source and vice versa.
No, it is not possible to use RECnGO live video studio on a camera other than built-in cameras on compatible iOS & Android devices.
The only requirements for using the RECnGO live video studio application are iOS and/or Android devices and a reliable internet network. Additional equipment can enhance your video production. For instance, tripods, mounts, etc. can help you to stabilize your devices, and also you can use microphones to make better audio.
iOS & Android devices that are able to run the RECnGO app. RECnGO live video studio is a cross platform application, so it can be used on iOS and Android devices at the same time. You can use RECnGO live video studio on any Android devices running the most recent operating system (Android 10 or newer). But the app works from Android 6 onwards. The iOS app works from iOS 14.
Tablet:
We recommend having at least one iOS or Android tablet as a part of your RECnGO live video studio setup, as it will be easier to use it as your main device. But of course, a tablet can be an extra camera source too.
Smartphones:
Your iOS and/or Android smartphones can be an extra camera source or the main device. It depends on you what you prefer.
Video recording and streaming time is limited by your device’s battery life and available storage. If you plan to create a VoD, we highly recommend checking your storage capacity on your main device. Generally, 1 hour of video translates to about 1GB on your device for 720p recording. So, it’s important to always check the storage on the devices you are using for your video production. If you make a live video, your video will be published on Facebook or YouTube. From there, you can download the video and save it to your device.
Streaming with RECnGO live studio, you will need a consistent upload speed of at least 3 Mbps. We recommend checking your speed. Don’t forget to test your speed in an environment similar to the one in which you’ll be running your live video production. it is very important to use a stable and fast internet consistently, to make a good live video. So, before you start your live video, don’t forget to make an internet speed test.
If you would like to add an extra camera source to the dashboard, first make sure that your devices are on the same internet connection and you logged in every device with the same account. Open a project (or create a new one) on your main device, when you are arrived on the Main device’s dashboard grab your other device, than (after you logged in) choose “extra camera source” mode on another device than the main. Name it as you wish, and push the button “connect to main”, and your extra camera source will be added to the dashboard.
Yes, you can. Add pre-recorded videos on the source tile. If you have a previously recorded intro video, or an interview that you would like to cut in the stream, just tap the ‘Add source’ tile and choose ‘Video Clip’. You can choose any videos from your Main device’s storage. Combine the livestream with a pre-recorded videos with this function.
RECnGO live video studio does not have this feature (yet). You cannot stream on Facebook and YouTube simultaneously. But you can stream:

RECnGO live video studio has a direct integration with Facebook and YouTube.
Unfortunately, you cannot make a direct live stream to Instagram. It is not possible for the third-party apps to stream to Instagram. If you would like to make a video to Instagram, we recommend you to use our Record mode function. Create your video, save it, and post it on Instagram as a video.
RECnGO can stream at: 480P (low quality), 720P (medium quality) and 1080P-HD (high quality).
Our answer is, yes you can. You just have to embed the video that you created with RECnGO into your website. How to do it? Create a private livestream on YouTube and then embed the video on your website. If you make a Facebook live video, you can embed that too into your website, so you don’t have to choose between the quality or the quantity. Create a great live video, share it on YouTube, or Facebook, and/or embed it into your website.
Or you can do a Custom RTMP streaming: Stream to almost any other platform thanks to the custom RTMP. Just enter your stream URL and you are ready to stream it. Click on the main device’s dashboard the settings button (at the top of the gear icon) and choose the ‘Custom’ target.
If you published your video on Facebook, you can save it from there. You can do the same on YouTube. But if you created a video on Recorded mode, your video will be saved on your main device. If you are doing a live streaming on YouTube or Facebook, you can record your production and your extra camera sources’ video at the same time. Click on the main device’s dashboard the settings button (at the top of the gear icon) and go down, ‘Recording’ session and turn ON Local Recording to save your production, and turn ON Remote Recording to save your extra cameras’ video.
If you see videos and pictures in the main device’s memory that are available, you will also be able to use them on the RECnGO dashboard.
Our answer is yes. You can add pre-recorded videos to the dashboard, and cut it into the livestream. It just depends on your talent how good you can make a “live” video using pre-made content.
If it would depend on RECnGO, you could make a live video stream for days. On Facebook the official maximum live broadcast is 8 hours with RECnGO, more information here: https://www.facebook.com/help/409713772701330 – we use API. On YouTube in theory you can stream for years, in practice your streams will be converted into a video after you’re done streaming. YouTube officially only supports videos up to 12 hours, then you won’t be able to see it. So, if you care for your stream archive to be visible, keep your streams below that threshold. Also, additionally if you wanted to edit said video internally with YouTube’s tools, that stream then has to be below 3 hours, or you won’t be able to edit it. So, in the end it depends on what you have to do with it. either Infinite, 12 hours or 3 hours.”

It depends on your preference. RECnGO live studio application has an own sound engine system, which we called ‘Audio Mix’ on the main device dashboard. The sound can be transmitted by the main device, or by on an extra camera source. Choose the best for your production.
