If it would depend on RECnGO, you could make a live video stream for days. On Facebook the official maximum live broadcast is 8 hours with RECnGO, more information here: https://www.facebook.com/help/409713772701330 – we use API. On YouTube in theory you can stream for years, in practice your streams will be converted into a video after you’re done streaming. YouTube officially only supports videos up to 12 hours, then you won’t be able to see it. So, if you care for your stream archive to be visible, keep your streams below that threshold. Also, additionally if you wanted to edit said video internally with YouTube’s tools, that stream then has to be below 3 hours, or you won’t be able to edit it. So, in the end it depends on what you have to do with it. either Infinite, 12 hours or 3 hours.”
